The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins Booster Club is selling vouchers for pizza from Bonvie's Old Forge Pizza Express. The vouchers will be valid until the end of September and are only redeemable at:

Insalaco's Shopping Center
801 Wyoming Avenue
West Pittston, PA 18643

Although the flyers you picked up at the meeting indicated you could purchase pizzas with different toppings, the voucher covers the cost of a tray of red pizza only. Vouchers are $13 per pizza. If you would like a topping, you may pay the additional cost when you redeem the voucher at the shop in West Pittston. We apologize for the confusion, but the voucher system is brand new. We're all learning as we go!

Pizzas may be baked at home or in the store and freeze well. The club will receive $3 per tray for 1-299 trays of pizza sold, or $4 per tray if the club sells 300 or more (retroactive to the 1st pizza sold).

You can download the order form here. Please collect the money with the orders. All order forms and money must be turned in to me or any board member at or prior to the May 10 general meeting. Once we have a total count and submit the order, the vouchers will be printed. They will be available for pickup at the June meeting. If you can not attend the meeting, we will make arrangements to get them to you. A limited number of vouchers will be available for sale at the May 10 meeting.

The 2009 Grotto Pizza Parade of Trees celebration has successfully concluded. This year's display was a tremendous success, with more than $8700.00 raised for local charities! Our tree came in 3rd place which we raised $1222.50 which included the share from the entry pool. All proceeds will be donated to Fallen Officers Remembered. The committee would like to thank everyone who voted for our tree and making this another successful year.

And it looks better than the above one as the yellow background is gold glitter in the final. These should arrive very soon. Check out the details at the next meeting!

For the second year the Booster Club has agreed to provide support for the Catherine McAuley Center on Church Street in Plymouth. For more than 24 years, the center has provided shelter, food, clothing and supportive services to homeless women and children. The Center relies mostly on donations from individuals and organizations like our Booster club.

For our next meeting in May members can bring items from the list below. Ron and I will inventory everything and deliver it to the Center. Believe me when I tell you that this is a very worthwhile charitable cause.

• Paper Products--paper towels, toilet paper, tissues etc.
• Personal items--shampoo, deodorant, combs etc.
• Baby Items--lotion, wipes, baby bath etc.
• Cleaning Supplies--dish washing liquid, bleach, toilet cleaner, disinfecting sprays etc.
• Bedroom items--alarm clocks, lamps, pillows, blankets, twin & full size sheets
• Bathroom items--towels-all sizes
• Socks & Underwear--assorted sizes for small boys, girls and women
• Food Items--sugar, creamers, ketchup, juice etc. (no canned goods, they have plenty)
• Gift Cards--for grocery stores, phone cards, stamps
